The Emerald Spire
by J.A. Lyons
Sarah hadn’t intended to go on a quest.
All she had wanted was to buy some spices in the market. Yet, here she was, alone in the rain without a friend in the world. Not to mention the Queen planning to boil her in oil, and all the soldiers in two countries out for her hide.
Why did that old woman, Udine, hate her so? And, the three bungling thieves? Why did they keep turning up?
Well, maybe she did have one friend, Windhagle would never abandon her.

Of course, there was also Hotep, even if he was a useless old wizard or something. Maybe it would be better in the boiling oil. At least she would be warm.
NOTE: The book contains no profanity or sex. Humor, anger, exasperation, pathos and terror are interspersed to move the story toward its dramatic conclusion.
